Alaska

August 15 - Sept. 1, 2025

Difficulty: Good Pace

Average Distance Per Day: ≈ 58 miles

Average Climbing Per Day: ≈ 3,760 feet

For the first time ever, the Bike Adventure is leaving the continental USA and heading to Alaska! This ride is sure to be a unique experience as we ride a thousand miles further northwest than we’ve ever experienced.

Along the way we plan not only to bike, but also to experience the Alaska Railroad and a 4-hour wildlife cruise near Kenai Fjords National Park where you will look for orca, humpback whales, sea otters, sea lions, bald eagles, and much more. The event includes stays in Denali State Park and Denali National Park, with views of North America’s tallest peak, Mt. Denali. Our intention is to stay indoors in churches and community centers except for Denali State and National Parks, where we will camp.

Best of all, there is interest in Wasilla, Alaska in hosting us for a Fuller Center build day, and all proceeds will go to help families have homes around the world.

For this ride, the costs will be higher, the distance to travel further, and the climbing substantial, but we know for many it will all be worthwhile for this unique and long-awaited experience.

Good Pace

Keep the Pace

Rides of this level are challenging, with an average mileage of about 60-70 miles per day and/or an average of 2,000 – 3,000 feet of climbing per day. This is similar to events like our Natchez Trace ride which has included riders from a wide range of ages and experiences over the years. So do not be intimidated, but do train and prepare yourself.

  • Speed minimums are the same for all rides.
  • Individual weeks of multi-week events will vary, please see the detailed schedules.
