Hi there, and welcome to the 2017 East Coast Ride blog! While we will begin pedaling in July, the work starts now, and I couldn’t be more excited with how things are shaping up.
The East Coast Ride begins just 30 miles south of my mama’s house in Maine. I look forward to the week off in between rides to share the local flavor of Freeport’s summer with the West Coast carry-overs. After some exploring and preparing for the five weeks ahead, we will migrate to the ride’s starting point in Portland.
On our way to Key West, we will ride through all of the states that I have family in. It is going to be a new feeling to bring my summer explorations into old stomping grounds.
While states may be familiar, the additional challenge of leading my fellow Fuller Center bike Adventurers will keep all things fresh. I am honored to meet and ride with a new group of service-minded cyclists. There are a lot of friends and great memories awaiting us…I don’t want to wait for July!
