Hello July!
As FCBA continued Day Two of our Fuller Center Greater Blessing project in Detroit Lakes, MN, the clear blue sky of yesterday was replaced by welcomed cloud cover. With the threat of rain in the forecast, the FCBA volunteers arrived early in the morning to Sonny’s home.
Leaning on the training and hands-on experience from the prior day, the team made quick work of the remaining pre-prepared garage roofing and laid down new shingles. Others weeded Sonny’s flowerbeds which extended to his next door neighbor’s property, a widow. The job was declared done by noon.
The FCBA team enjoyed lunch, another fantastic meal prepared by Beth and friends of the Fuller Center. Then, after showers, the laundry team was dispatched to the local laundromat.
Later in the evening, Sonny held a BBQ dinner that deeply satisfied everyone’s palate. Sonny even had a finale show of fireworks!. What a great way to celebrate the first day of July!
