The families of the Shady Grove United Methodist started us off with a huge breakfast consisting of several egg dishes, grits, danish and rolls, and other treats.
After breakfast we attended the worship service lead by Pastor Kimi. What a blessing to fellowship with believers from many states. Shady Grove UM is unique in that the congregation is small but their vision and zeal for missions exceeds most large churches.
The weather was the best this year for riding the Trace. Somewhat cool in the morning, but making it up to mid 60’s by early afternoon with just a light wind. There were a couple of challenging hills, but that is to be expected in Tennessee. Our destination for the evening was Collinwood Free Will Baptist Church which treated us to a cookout and carry-in dinner that exceeded our expectations. The conversations and fellowship was as good as the desserts.
God continues to bless us on this trip, and the two churches are part of His blessings.
