But hey we could be in the ER with a blood clot or having gallbladder surgery instead of riding our bikes. Yep, we will take the bike riding every time including rainy days.

It just makes everything more dangerous, though, especially when our phones won’t respond because the screens are wet, though about half the riders have tech they are using that doesn’t have that big negative. But if your phone is not responding because of the wet screens , you can get off course and not be able to figure out how to get back on course. When things get really wet, I just find a church and get under their porch or entrance and get my bearings.

You can’t spend too long camping out on church porches and such though, because we still have to ride the whole 80 plus miles to your destination today. So don’t delay too long!

At least we stayed at a really nice church last night and got a great hot meal and decent rest. We need it for days like this. So even though it rained off and on most of the day, we ALL made it to our destination in Perryville Missouri healthy and whole. We are very thankful for the church allowing us to sleep in a dry spot, and for Neil our leader setting up showers for us to wash all that road grime off.

This is my second Fuller-across-the-USA trip and it is always a bit humbling how they set everything up for us so that this trip can actually happen. We didn’t have any more Amish buggy accidents, or any other kinds of accidents today, so it was a smashing success of 82 rainy miles in southern Missouri.
