Well, I guess every day can’t be sunshine and tail winds!
After an amazing breakfast provided by First Baptist Church in Kellogg we put on our rain gear to start our ride. Some of us had fancy waterproof jackets & shoe covers. Others had tarps and Walmart or Ziplock bags. They all worked the same—we got wet!
After the first 20 miles sof paved trail riding, we turned on to gravel, with mud and puddles, going up over the mountain past a ski resort to the valley on the other side.
After a freezing descent and a total of 45 miles of gravel, we hit pavement and stunning views of the mountains of western Montana. We were greeted by the members of St. James Catholic Church — with a hose for the bikes and showers and laundry machines for us! What a blessing!
After a hot supper & a good night sleep I’m sure we will be good as new!
