The ride took us through miles of long rolling  climbs with Blood Red Mormon Crickets by the thousands everywhere. The landscape was dotted with sage, small trees, grasses, wildflowers  and lavender plants. When riding a bike you smell many things.- some pleasant and some not so pleasant — lavender was great, crickets not so great.
