Build day in Indianapolis

Today we’re working at three homes near Indianapolis. This Fuller Center chapter has built 33 homes in the area. Companies like Rolls-Royce and Allison Transmission supply some of the funds and manpower to support the local chapter.
The picture below shows a house (on the right) that was built in 2023 for an 18 year old mother of 3 who’s rent was being raised to an unaffordable (for her) $650 month. She is now paying back a $70,000 loan for the house at 0% interest at an affordable $450 per month. She will have the loan paid off in about 15 years. On the left is a vacant lot that will hold another Fuller Center house before the end of the year.
The local Fuller Center chapter gets lots from the city for $2,000 and builds houses on them.
Since there was no active building going on, most of the work we did today was in support of the homeowners, some of who are single mothers. They work and have little children and they appreciate any help they can get.
