Turning up the heat

We’ve had 2 longer days in a row (65-85 miles) and the temperatures have been in the 90s. Tomorrow is just as long but a little cooler (mid 80s).
The highlight of yesterday’s ride was the sighting of several large turtles sunning themselves on the road.
Less than 2 miles out of the gate, today’s ride was detoured due to a train that had stopped at OUR railroad crossing and didn’t want to move. A couple mile detour got us around that obstacle.
Here’s a unique picture taken by one of the guys I rode with today. It’s taken from a drone about 30 feet in the air at one of our unscheduled bathroom stops.
But today’s highlight was visiting a house completed earlier this year by the local Fuller Center chapter. It was the first house built by the chapter since transitioning from Habitat for Humanity. The recipients were a local couple and their 3 daughters. They are now paying back their no interest loan on terms they can afford.
