KIM EISENBARTH: A fun group of veteran riders and newbies

A fun group of veteran riders and newbies

Today we had a gentle start to the day. After joining our hosts, St Bridget Catholic Parish, for 8:00 service, we were treated to a scrumptious Knights of Columbus breakfast.

As we were “circling up” we were pleasantly surprised to be joined by Mo, another Fuller return rider.

We finished a very pleasant 40-mile ride that ended in Leeton, Missouri. The usual routine after we get to the church involves unloading and setting up our air mattresses and little homes for the night.

Tonight, our host church, Leeton Christian Church, hit it outta the ballpark. They had baskets of food, beverages, hospitality, and even made us an incredible dinner. (We may not leave!).

This is a fun group — I have ridden with about half of them on past rides — so it feels like a reunion. And I also get to meet new folks. I think I needed a “gentler” week of cycling. It feels like I have found JOY in cycling again.
(Right, Ann Coleman?).

I will forever be grateful to the Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure for allowing me the privilege of being a part of this incredible group
