Fortunately it was nowhere near as cold as I thought it was going to be, plus, we had a little tailwind to help us out, as well as some flatter roads. The ride was 78 miles and it fortunately went by fairly quick.

We passed by Tupelo along the way and ended up in Houston, MS, named for Sam Houston. There was a short ride along the Tanglefoot Trail just before we got to the Parkway Baptist Church.

These folks are so warm and welcoming, they had three long tables set out on our arrival and are supposed to feed us very well for dinner, too! God is good!
