On last year’s cross-country ride, Neil asked riders for input for this year’s ride. I was one of a number of individuals that suggested a route that went through  Sedona, AZ and continued through Zion and Bryce Canyon National Park. I had previously biked through this area and it still remains one of my favorite bike adventures…I hope my fellow riders feel the same way after they see the breathtaking landscape.

 

I was elated when this route was chosen, but at the same time I was disappointed because I was planning to do a 6-week, self-supported trip with a friend down the Pacific Coast Highway during this time frame. The daily route was set and we had booked camping, hotel, and hostel reservations for the entire trip. Unfortunately my friend had to cancel.

I was not going to do this trip solo, so the opportunity opened for me to join this ride. This mark’s my 10th FCBA ride and hopefully not my last.
