Almost at the end of the road…but this was the beginning for so much for me.
It was the beginning of a new chapter in my life, great new friendships and a fresh start to a stronger relationship with my Dad; whom I have been stuck on a tandem with for the past two weeks. And although this has been one very mentally straining event, I can already say I will walk away a stronger woman in a few days.
Maybe I didn’t finish every day and all 900 miles, and maybe I cried like a baby when I had to get in the sag while feeling bad for myself, but I swallow my pride because this is so much more than just a physical accomplishment. This is serving others and raising awareness to a huge issue in our society, the physical biking…frankly that is last on the list.
Looking forward to the next few states, building stronger connections with this group and especially with my riding partner.
