Alamosa to La Veta
Today’s original plans for the route were to go to Walsenburg, CO but we found a host Church in La Veta instead. This church made our trip today a little shorter distance. We crossed the Continental Divide today, and the landscape is all downhill from here as we ride through Kansas.
It was also my birthday today, and some of my family came down from Colorado Springs. They shared dinner with us and the bike riders got me a cake and sang “Happy Birthday” to me. I found a great little café that just opened as I walked around La Veta with my family, but the closest Geocache was 7.7 miles away, so that was no go.
Overall, I enjoyed spending my birthday with my blood family and Fuller Center family today!
