The Adventure

By Beth Bachelor

It’s called the Fuller Center Bike Adventure for a reason. Everyday we are on an adventure. However, today was an adventure with a capital A for sure. It started at 1:30am when some large animal, probably a bear, decided to ram into the Bike Adventure trailer, which is where I was sleeping. From there, it led to a 4am wakeup call so Connor and I could bike from Grant Campground in Yellowstone to West Yellowstone.

This schedule was decided in order to help me catch a flight home for a few days due to needing to be with family. The adventure continued as we rode by Old Faithful geyser as it erupted and passed a dozen Buffalo on the side of the road. By the end of our ride, we were amazed with all that we had seen and experienced. It was quite the day and as I reflect upon it, I’m reminded of a much greater adventure. Ever since I’ve been following Jesus, every day feels somewhat like an adventure.

I am continually amazed at what God places in front of me, what He calls me to, and where He leads me. It’s better than seeing Old Faithful erupt or riding past Buffalo. Today’s adventure with the Fuller Center Bike Adventure was a sweet reminder of just that; the greater adventure that I live through Jesus.
