Today we rode into Key West on the final ride of Tour de Florida 2024.
Following an amazingly fast ride across the Seven Mile Bridge due to strong tail winds, we crossed a series of keys — islands of varying sizes separated by narrow waterways called channels. Besides the beautiful scenery and great weather, a highlight of the ride was a photo stop at the Southernmost Point in the U.S.
Besides being names of islands in Florida, keys unlock things. I see this ride as a key God uses to unlock in us a spirit of extending ourselves to do what we didn’t think we could do, being there for others when they need a helping hand, and working to make life better for those in difficult circumstances.
In this way we become channels for God’s love and blessings to flow to those He brings into our lives.
This, my 11th Fuller Center trip, has been a blessed experience and I hope I have the privilege of doing many more.
