Today was overcast and it was nice not to have the sun beating down on us all day baking us.

We started with a gentle uphill that lasted about 10 miles and finished with a 15 mile twisty, curvy descent into Palm Desert, CA. The uphill was awesome! Well, awesome for some of us who have a big “pie plate”, 52 ring in the back, which I do.

The downhill was not my favorite but the majority of people took advantage of the opportunity to zoom like a rider with wings.

This morning we finally left the never ending houses and rode through San Bernardino National Forest.  The huge rocks and pine cones were amazing to see.

The stats from today- 57.32 miles, and 4483′ of elevation gain.

I truly appreciate seeing cows on a bike ride and today was no exception, cows were spotted.

A beautiful day on the bike with wonderful friends.
