The expectation on a Fuller ride is a good night’s sleep on some floor somewhere every night of the trip.

First Christian Church in Madisonville has partnered with the Fuller Center, and the church converted two of their Sunday School classrooms into men’s and women’s dorm rooms.  There are six sets of bunk beds, and they are oh so comfortable!  Sealy donated the mattresses.  When groups come to help assist in rebuilding the community after the December 2021 tornados which devastated the area, the church offers a place to stay.  They open their kitchen to the groups.  They have a washer and dryer on site, and they even SHOWERS!

Gifts galore!

Today we had what is called a “build day.”  We split into two groups, and one primed and painted the entire inside of a new home, and the other group did work in the yard for a different home owner.  I heard from the yard crew that they moved about 1,000 pounds of large rocks and bricks and old foundation, and the paint crew painted a whole house faster than I’ve ever painted a single room!  

My grandmother was right: Many hands make light work!
