Big Sky Country, here we come! The mountains are in our rear view mirrors and endless plains are ahead of us.
What a beautiful day to enjoy our first full day of flatland riding…temps in the mid 70’s and a light tail wind most of the day. We had a net loss in elevation today, but still had a few rolling hills. From atop the final hill we saw our destination over 5 miles away — Chester MT.
After 101 miles of riding, we arrived at the Chester United Methodist Church. The usual trailer unloading ensued, then we all had quick showers at the local school.
For dinner we were fed a fantastic meal by the church: pork loin sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw, etc, etc. Everything was delicious as was the special dessert treat of Huckleberry Ice Cream bars!
Tomorrow we head east again to Havre MT as we make our way thru Big Sky Montana. Thanks to everyone in Chester for your great hospitality!!!
