The Sites of Cincy

Written by: Jim Hartman

We started the day by crossing the Ohio River on the John A. Roebling Bridge, built in 1867.

From the bridge you could see the Cincinnati Reds Riverfront Stadium and downtown Cincinnati.

Once over the river, we made our way to the Little Miami Scenic Trail and rode it all the way to Springfield for over 70 miles. Most of the trail was shaded and it followed the Little Miami River part of the way.

In Xenia, one of the hubs of the trail, an old station doubles as rest stop on the trail.

After dinner, on the way to get ice cream, we drove by one of the houses completed by the Fuller Center’s local partners. This served as a reminder of why we ride.

Tomorrow is our first build day. We will split up and work on 3 different houses.
