Too much fun
July 19, 2022
After our soggy Monday, Tuesday was a perfect riding day. The route from Weedsport to Watertown was my favorite kind: country roads and two lane highways over hill and dale, past farms, and through little towns. Short sleeve weather with cloud cover and favorable winds most ways we turned.
I rode sweep with Neil and Nicky, who I believe has flown the sweep nest after just a week and a half on the road. We speeded joyfully along, never once having to deal with any breakdown of either bike or rider. Neil was able to notice and make some adjustments to Nicky’s bike as his mechanic duty of the day.
The report from each rest stop was all smiles, everyone had a great day. We were met by a news crew at Life Church of the Nazarene, our home for the night, and the beautiful Asbury United Methodist Church hosted us for dinner. Once again, multiple groups in a small town pulling together to make sure we had everything we needed.
