In 1 Timothy 4:8 it says, “for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.”
We’re spending a longer stretch of 10 days in Michigan as we travel through our first Great Lakes. When I first heard of this stretch, the days seemed like they would last forever. The trees and water have proven the days beautiful!
Today started with a strong forecast of rain so we donned our rain gear. By the first rest stop there had been little rain. I was wetter inside it than on the outside: sauna-effect, and so I shed the rain wear. About 50 miles into the ride the rain started and I retrieved a bright yellow rain jacket. But, we picked up a tail wind and cruised at speeds over 20 mph on the rain slicked roads.
Each time I do a Fuller Center trip I like to go into it with a specific spiritual purpose. This time it would include God sightings. I wanted to keep my eyes open to God at work and then share them with others, both fellow team members and people I meet along this journey.
