We were riding today from Herman MO to Eldon MO which is around 95 miles. The first half of the day involved cycling along the Katy Trail until we reached Jefferson City the state capital of Missouri.

So we had a rain delay before we began our build day in Eldon Missouri. Since all the work that they had for us was outside, and it was storming and pouring rain, we delayed for an hour or so. The rest of the day had lovely weather and we got an amazing amount of work done on the house.

Early in the week, we pedaled over a bridge spanning the Tennessee River. Days later, we boarded a ferry in Kentucky, crossed the mighty Mississippi, and arrived in Missouri.

Our ride today started with a nice cool morning and a devotional about the old man who offered “new rags for old rags.” It was a good reminder of what Jesus did for us on the cross.
