Amazing! Cyclists will journey up the Atlantic Coast viewing beaches, working on homes, and experiencing some of the greatest sights our East Coast has to offer.
Each segment on this route truly has its own appeal, with each week offering unique natural beauty and at least one volunteer build day. Those joining for the whole way across 13 states will have a journey to be remembered forever.
We’ll be traveling from the south to north to take advantage of the warmth of the south in early summer and the relative cool of New England as summer progresses.
After departing from Tybee Island, a significant portion of this ride will follow the East Coast Greenway and other established routes up through classic southern towns like Savannah, Charleston, and Wilmington. From Virginia Beach we’ll use a shuttle to help us journey through the elusive “Delmarva,” the peninsula east of the Chesapeake Bay, before catching a ferry to continue up near the Jersey Shore and later another ferry past the Statue of Liberty into New York City.
The final week will feature New England with its rich history and architecture. It promises to be full of vibrant towns, colorful seaboard homes, and where some of our earliest U.S. history can be found.
