Tour de Florida

Friday, January 8th - Monday, January 18th, 2021

If it must be postponed due to COVID-19, the dates will be: January 7-17, 2022

This 11-day ride offers the opportunity to escape winter’s cold and enjoy the endless sun of southern Florida, all while creating an opportunity to serve those in need of a decent place in which to live.

It has all the components of a perfect Fuller Center ride…great routes, great church hosts, and a great build day!

What to expect on the Tour de Florida:

  • Seven riding days, typically 70-75 miles per day
  • Build day with Big Lake Fuller Center (Okeechobee)
  • High temperatures typically average in the 70’s
  • Ocean views from your bike seat
  • Wonderfully hospitable hosts
What about COVID-19?

There is a good chance the ride may need to be rescheduled, in which case it will be postponed a year to January 7-17, 2022. Registration fees and funds raised would be rolled forward, or you can choose to have registration fees (but not funds raised) refunded. See the full refund policy here.

The Perfect Winter Ride

After arriving to Orlando on Friday evening, we will begin orientation on Saturday morning and then strike out east to the Atlantic coast at Cocoa Beach that same day. There we will spend Sunday with time for morning worship, completing orientation, and enjoying the beach! Then we’ll continue our ride south to the Florida Keys.

On Tuesday we’ll take a day off the bikes to drive to Okeechobee, where we will build with Big Lake Fuller Center. Our ride will conclude in Key West on the following Sunday, where we will spend the night and depart Monday morning. Riders can be dropped off at the airport in Miami or Orlando, or dropped back at their car near our starting church location.

There is a lot to love on the Bike Adventure’s Tour de Florida!

Schedule

Cities and routes may be adjusted depending on our ability to find church hosts.

4:00 – 9:00 PM: Riders arrive at church host in Orlando

If you would like to drive to Orlando and leave a car, a church will be found who is able to let us do so. For folks taking other forms of transportation to the ride’s start, the ride’s support vehicle will be shuttling people from transportation hubs such as the Orlando airport to the church in Orlando on Friday night.

Dinner is not provided this evening, but there are plenty of local restaurants to choose from!
