roof1Connor Ciment, 23
2017 Bike Adventure Trip Leader
Returning 2015 and 2016 Fuller Center Cyclist
Americus, GA

Hi Fuller Center Bike Adventurers, my name is Connor, and I will be leading the 2017 Summer Coastal rides. I am a second year Trip Leader with the Fuller Center, having led the Spring, Summer, and Fall in 2016.

It has been an absolute honor and privilege to lead rides this past year, and I have grown closer to the person I want to be through the fellowship of the FCBA community. The opportunity to dedicate myself to a cause that I am passionate about, all the while riding my bike all over the country, has been an incredible blessing!

It doesn’t get much better than this: living simply, biking daily, building homes and lifelong relationships. I am excited to meet the newest addition to my Bike Adventure family!

FCBA Day Fifty (12)-X2Ryan Iafigliola, 30
Bike Adventure Founder
Returning 2008-2016 Fuller Center Cyclist
Americus, GA

Every year, the time I get to spend on the Bike Adventure is some of my favorite days of the year. What I love is the opportunity to join together with a group of dedicated and determined volunteers embarking on an adventure in God’s service together. It’s not just an adventure of a life-time, it’s a journey that ripples change into the world all while changing ourselves.
I have come to especially appreciate the impact of these rides because my role at the Fuller Center is to work hand-in-hand with all of the international programs. I have seen first hand things that should make anyone cry…and thanks to all of the riders and donors I have also seen how the Fuller Center gives real people reason to cry for joy. That’s what this is all about.

I am so looking forward to seeing what God will do through us on the ride this year!

Returning 2015 and 2016 Communications Specialist
Americus, GA

After graduating from Wofford College in May and interning for the Bike Adventure for two summers, I am now officially living in Americus, GA and am serving as a full-time communications specialist for the Fuller Center. I am amazed daily at how much I have grown to love this organization, and I couldn’t be happier that my adult life is kicking off in such a service-based manner.

I’ll be seeing y’all again in the summer of 2017!

My first exposure to the Bike Adventure was as a 2016 Segment 1 rider.  By the end of the week, I knew I had to come back for a greater opportunity to spread the word about the work of the Fuller Center, assist in fund raising for the Fuller Center’s mission, and most importantly, roll up my sleeves and work with other Bike Adventure riders to work on build  projects along the way.  I learned this isn’t bike riders doing good for others—it’s people doing good who ride bikes and I`m excited to be sharing this adventure with others who share that passion.

Hey all! My name is Rose and I hail from NYC, down on the east coast so I was super excited to see one of this year’s Fuller Center Rides come down to my neck of the woods! This will be my second Fuller Center ride but my 5th distance bike tour, so clearly I’m a bit addicted to biking by now haha. Aside from biking, I’m also a distance runner. I just completed my first marathon this year in the 2016 NYC marathon and I’m looking to break into ultra marathon running and triathalons in the coming years.

I am looking forward to the chance to meet people all around the country, both on the trip and at the places where we stop. I have done several week-long trips, including a couple in which we carried our own camping gear. This will be by first tour that takes more than ten days.

Hi All!

I’ll be joining the East Coast ride for Segments 1 & 2 this year! This will be my first time riding with the Fuller Center and my first big bike trip; however, I’m sure it will not be the last! Since I was little, I’ve heard stories of a bike trip my dad took from Chicago to Seattle after graduating from high school. It was a truly amazing experience for him and shaped the rest of his life. Because of his stories, I’ve always wanted to join a longer bike trip. Fuller Center’s mission for the bike adventure has given me just the right motivation! What a great opportunity to ride and raise awareness for such a wonder organization!

I’ve been cycling 30+ years and recently retired to the Piedmont Triad area of NC.  I have had the opportunity to visit many amazing places and have many wonderful experiences because of bicycling, including riding across the US in 2013.  This is my first year doing a Fuller Center ride and I’m looking forward to this trip as a way to give back for all the great experiences I’ve had and using my love of bicycling as a means to help others.

Renee’ McCullough, 61
Returning 2014, 2015 & 2016 Fuller Center Cyclist
Segment Rider
Gaithersburg, MD
Fundraising Goal: $1,000

Hi!  I’m Renee’, from Maryland (though still an Oregonian at heart).  I am a librarian for a federal agency, enjoy outdoor activities, cooking, good books, and – since 2006 – cycling.  After my first FCBA segment ride in 2014, I knew I wanted be part of the FCBA experience again and to challenge myself more with longer rides as God allowed.  Meeting such a physical challenge is an awesome experience in itself, but exponentially greater when combined with the unparalleled opportunities to help others, to build relationships, to pray for others and be prayed for by others, and to lift each other up literally and figuratively.  I am blessed to be part such an amazing endeavor and to “pray, give, and go” on the Summer ride this year.  I thank God for giving me the health and stamina to do these rides and for the opportunity to make a difference in others’ lives.  Thanks so much for your prayers and your support to me and to the Fuller Center’s work to end poverty housing and give a hand-up!

Penny Goodwin, 60
2017 Rider
Segment 4
Owasso, Oklahoma
Fundraising Goal: $750

Hi.  I am a fourth segment rider and this is my first time for a week long ride.  Must say I am a little intimidated!  My husband and I have been on mission trips to build in Mexico and love spending our downtime on the bikes.  Mark (husband) found Fullers website a year ago and we decided to take the plunge this summer.  Can’t wait to meet our new awesome friends, share our faith, and help by being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Mark Goodwin, 59
2017 Rider

Owasso, Oklahoma
Fundraising Goal: $2,500

Penny and I have been riding bikes for several years. We began riding comfort bikes around town. Then moved on to riding Rails to Trails for one to three days at a time. The last eight years have been spent on both trail and road bikes still doing Rails to Trails and local group and weekend road rides. Through our Church we have been on a few Mission building trips. This year we are looking forward to merging the two together by riding with the Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure. Looking forward to meeting other riders, volunteers, and learning what God has planned.
