In the grand scheme of things, Wednesday’s ride was a short one. 53 miles relative to the average 70-something miles.
But it gave us time to relax a little more – work at a more leisurely pace. Get up a little later, start our ride a little later, and take more time along the ride to take in the beautiful country we’re traversing.
And by chance, or maybe by design, our second rest stop was at Kootenai Falls, Montana. One of the many natural wonders of the Kootenai National Forest.
We got to spend an hour or so sitting and taking in the beauty of nature, sticking our feet in the cold rushing water that was probably snow a few days ago atop the adjacent mountains.
