One mile at a time helps provide housing
July 5, 2022
Today’s ride was 75 miles from Williamston to Milan, Michigan. The weather was warm with a cloudy 70 degrees to start our ride, and with the first real humidity that we’ve felt. It was cloudy most of the day which kept the temps down and we finally got a sunny 85 degrees to finish the ride.
The roads were pretty good and not much traffic until we got close to Milan.
It still amazes me that we have ridden so many weeks and miles and that todays 75 mile ride seems like a “short” ride. We take it one mile and one rest stop at a time and before we know it …. the day’s ride is over and we’re looking for the showers and dinner. Then we’re ready to do it all over again the next day.
The thing that makes all these miles worthwhile is being able to get involved in a build day. We have two of them in the next 7 days and that’s really what this bike adventure is about. Not the miles we ride but being able to help provide housing for those in need.
