I learned about the Fuller Center Bike Adventure when I was searching the internet for a cross country bike ride. I really like outdoor adventures and helping people, so I was excited to be involved with the Fuller Center to help me fulfill these goals. When the trip started I was looking forward to seeing the country on my bike, but what I enjoy the most is the build days when we help people live better lives by doing house repairs and yard work.
I have always wanted to ride my bike across America but didn’t realize there would be so many positives that would add to the Fuller Center Bike Adventure. I have really enjoyed the fellowship with the other bike riders who started as strangers and will become lifelong friends. It’s a sad day when we have to say goodbye when someone leaves. The hospitality of our hosts is overwhelming. They provide us with delicious food and a place to sleep after a long day on the road. Finally… it is very gratifying knowing others have a better life as we have build days along the route. This is truly a physical and spiritual ride!
